mom@shiloh
Help! My son had one picked out, but it didn't quite fit the criteria, so now we're searching for something else. Have any of your high school students found a great humorous first person interpretive speech that they loved? It needs to be 3-5 minutes long. Jean in Newcastle
Perhaps a section from Mark Twain's Autobiography?
Beth S
I'd post this on the General Board, to catch more people. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but will bump this for you!
Teachin'Mine
Does he have any favorite comedians, actors, ball players, etc. who have written an autobiography? There might be some good material there. I like Jean's Mark Twain idea too.
MomsintheGarden
Mark Twain can be good. Try short stories by Patrick McManus, O. Henry, or or P. G. Wodehouse. Your library will have books with collections of humorous pieces and short stories. Librarians can sometimes be helpful if you find the right one. Good luck!
