*Michelle*
They've certainly piqued my interest. I can't imagine what it could be, especially since they named their website 'rememberthe13th' but then had to push the announcement date up to tomorrow. extendedforecast
Well I guess we'll just have to wait another day. I thought the info was available when I opened the thread. I'm not good at waiting for stuff to come out. What do you think they've discovered?
*Michelle*
Microbes? Humanoid life? We're getting hit by a huge comet tomorrow and they just wanted to have fun beforehand?
nrg
Following the Google plus link leads to information that NASA is shut down with the federal government and will not be updating in the foreseeable future. I guess we go back to waiting.
gardenmom5
the comet came to my mind - supposedly we're going to get a really "bright" one that you can even see in the daytime, come winter. then again, the last few comets they've advertised as being really showy - were very disappointing. maybe they'll announce cycle 25 is over the hump with magnetic field reversal, and we are officially on the downturn to minimum. *Michelle*
Hmmm. When you hover over the Facebook icon, it says "Mars Curiosity." If you click on it, you just go to the Facebook home page, though.

mommymilkies
This is like the billionth time I've seen this sort of thing come up in the past couple of years. I don't take it seriously anymore. Didn't they hear the fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf?
*Michelle*
Really? This is the first I've seen. What were the other ones about?
mommymilkies
Huge announcements that would be made on xyz date that would rewrite science books. They never were very surprising or earth shaking. Lol one was a few months ago?
*Michelle*
Maybe these are all being put out by textbook publishers. :D

Didn't they hear the fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf? No kidding. So many slightly above ordinary things are "epic" or "earthshaking" these days, it's all rather disappointing. :-/
