Mandylubug
The notion of just packing up, moving to another country and living there is calling my name. We lived in Arizona for two years before we moved back to Georgia. I loved our weekends of exploration and finding new places. Georgia isn't new. It isn't exciting. I want to explore and wake up daily with the sense of adventure. DH says if we could afford it, he would totally pack up and go wherever I want but we can't afford that and homeschool our kids.. A girl can dream, though!
Heather in Neverland
I did it! Dh and I applied for jobs at an international school practically on a whim and a few months later we were living in Malaysia. Best decision we ever made! It is an awesome combination of normal, every day life and continuous adventure. If I'm not in the mood for adventure, I just stay home that day and life is really normal. But all we have to do is walk out our front door to experience something new and different all the time. It really is as awesome as it sounds (except the traffic...yikes). Mandylubug
Yeah. We'd both need to work internationally and I wouldn't want to dump all four kids in a strange place and strange school. Still, it is inviting.
Happy
At least plan a vacation somewhere new and adventurous. It's not the same as moving, but at least it gets you out of the house.
Mandylubug
We do travel thankfully and DH works for an airline so it is very affordable for us to do that as well. We should just plan on some international vacations to help aid my "itch"
sparrow
We have a seasonal business, and this is our season, so I'm stuck until December. In the meantime, I'm traveling to the English countryside ;): A Fine Romance: Falling in Love With the English Countryside
TammyinTN
You are not alone! I miss living in Europe so badly...I'm praying for a new European assignment. I don't feel like I fit in here anymore.
Mothersweets
Mandy, I totally get it! I would love to do that, too, but dh is something of a xenophobe. sparrow, looks like a great read!
J-rap
I used to feel that way a lot! Sometimes getting away for even just a weekend would help. :)
