*lifeoftheparty*
Baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate. The box says "best when used by 12 June 2010". We're making French hot chocolate from "Another Trip Around the World" book. I think it's fine, but I'd feel better with a general consensus ;)
Mandylubug
was it stored in the freezer... I would be tempted to nibble a corner and see if I die first :p
*lifeoftheparty*
No, it was in the spice cabinet.... Lol, the boy will be drinking first... Let's hope he's nice and sturdy.
nmoira
Smell then taste it, and if it tastes off don't use it. The worst that will have happened is that it's gone rancid.
Erin
I'd use it. But I'd use a kid as the guinea pig, too. ;)
Guest submarines
I don't see a problem. Enjoy!
Catwoman
No. It probably won't taste right. Chocolate can get pretty nasty-tasting if it sits for too long.

stripe
No! I don't think it will kill you, but it will taste awful.
Erin
Growing up, my mom almost never had baker's chocolate that was fresh. Just didn't use it often enough. So, it would be flakey, and had that weird tan color, but one you got it mixed in with butter/cream/etc. it tasted fine.
*lifeoftheparty*
It smelled fine, so we used it! We've all had some, tasted pretty good.... And now...... We wait!
