Laura Corin
I haven't used it. The two things that have helped for us are: - get outside as much as possible at the new location so that your brain can register the daylight - switch immediately to the new time zone and get up at that time, even if you haven't slept much by then. Nap in the afternoon for under an hour if necessary. Laura
LibraryLover
A 20 yr old? Perhaps traveling with a group? I would have to say that the excitement will be enough to keep your child on the move. She may be exhausted when she gets home, but I wouldn't worry about jet lag. :)

We travel often and it usually takes about a day to get back to functioning levels if we take care of ourselves, longer if we don't.
sbgrace
Melatonin can prevent/lessen jet lag. Here is a study that tells a bit about how to use it for jet lag and it's effectiveness.
readwithem
I agree with the suggestion to get outside in the daylight; it will be more of a challenge as she'll be traveling in the shortest daylight time of the year. Also I have found that staying up till around 8pm new time helps me adjust.
