Unicorn.
So I found a cool hoodie I want to get for nephew, but I'm not sure what size he wears. He's 5'10", and 190 lbs. Would you go w/ a large? Or would you get an extra large? My ds is 6' 2", and wears an extra large. Dd is 5' 9 1/2" and I would say large for her. So he is closer to her size than my ds. ETA: I just had dd try on ds's old hoodie which is a lg, chest fits fine, but sleeves are just barely long enough. I looked at the size chart, and the xl is only 1/2" longer on the sleeves, but 2 " bigger than the lg in the chest.
Ali in OR
My dh is close to 6' and about 200 pounds, so slightly bigger than your nephew and I always get him a large which fits fine.
acurtis75
My dh is 5'11and 185 and wears a large even though he has rather broad shoulders. I would think a large is fine. Eta: he also has really long arms...which is never an issue when buying things like hoodies. Large is always okay. Dress shirts are another issue altogether. Unicorn.
Thanks. I was leaning toward large, but the sleeves had me a bit worried.
Ottakee
I would lean more towards the x-large unless the brand is known to run a bit big. I buy a large for my son who is 5'4" tall and 155 pounds. THen again he likes things a bit bigger.
Tap
Look at the fit.....is it a 'trim fit' style....then x-large. If it is more of a boxy, older style...then Large. Dh is 6' 185-190 and this is how I would pick for him.
