Daughter enjoys "textbooks" for history and science... help

Aimee... I think I know why you don't like BJU.... but we don't have to talk about it!! LOL

 

Another Lynn... She feels like there is too much info in SOTW and it is confusing to her. I do understand where she is coming from with all the Ancient "stuff" My 6yo son LOVES SOTW and my 17yo loved reading all the volumes several years back... so I know it isn't SOTW itself, just a different personality maybe?

 

Zebra.. Thanks for the feedback. I am assuming you liked the 3rd grade book since you are using it again? :)

I can understand feeling lost in the details. I'm really enjoying reading Hillyer's A Child's History of the World aloud to my youngers because it isn't so jam-packed. I think I remember that others have used a workbook from Calvert that goes with it for 4th grade.... but I've never used it.
