astrid
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. astrid
Audrey
Huh. I thought he sold out around 1985.
BigMamaBird
I can't imagine how it could get much worse than what Lucas did to his own franchise. At least Disney knows it's audience and is out to make a buck, so maybe we'll be spared Jar Jars and horrid child actors.
Joshin
Huh. I thought he sold out around 1985. :iagree: Dh is torn about this. He is a huge SW geek, lives and breathes it in his spare time and has even done some professional artwork for different parts of the franchise. On one hand, he's glad Lucas can't tarnish it anymore, on the other hand, it's Disney. He thinks if they get someone like Joss Whedon, it'll have the geek cred to pull it off (his words)! I think Disney has done a fab job with Marvel. Whedon, Nolan, or del Toro could breathe new life into the Star Wars saga.
cin
The income tax on that sale should help reduce the debt by 1 or 2%. And the nest egg! :svengo: Really, I could live so well on such a small portion! You'd never even notice it was gone!
