Tiramisu
I had the most emotionally stressful week I've had in a long, long time, starting exactly one week before Aunt Flow's scheduled visit. Then Dear Auntie did not come as expected. So now, on top of everything else, I wondering what's up with Aunt F.
celticmom
I believe that stress can cause delays.
thescrappyhomeschooler
Stress can absolutely cause delays. Or the reverse. I once had my flow for 15 days straight due to stress.
Tiramisu
Stress can absolutely cause delays. Or the reverse. I once had my flow for 15 days straight due to stress. Now that would really stink! I guess I should be happy with a little delay. ;)
*********
Uh, yeah, tell me about it. With this stress about my dad, good grief. Aunt Flo decided to come FIERCLY like two days after it started. That was great. Just great. But now I'm late, since it's been over a month. So yeah, stress can do crazy things to your hormones. TranquilMind
Stress can absolutely cause delays. Or the reverse. I once had my flow for 15 days straight due to stress. Yes, it sure can. I'm on the downside of perimenopause, having periods only every couple of months now, and only for four days or so. But when my appendix burst and I had to be hospitalized for a week due to infection....well, by golly, there was my period for nine straight days! I discovered the other legitimate use for Depends, as I was unable to keep it off the bed any other way!
fraidycat
I discovered the other legitimate use for Depends, as I was unable to keep it off the bed any other way! I did this post-natal. Pre-baby shopping included shopping for diapers for Mom and baby. ;) It was so much easier to deal with babies and not necessarily getting to the bathroom when you need to when you're less worried about leaks. Onceuponatime
Ha, I wish that happened to me. My son is getting married tomorrow and my "guest" decided to show up 4 days early. Boo. Hiss.
TheReader
stress always causes a delay for me, of up to 2 wks. I would assume stress interference, and not worry/panic until at least one full cycle later.
