Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
By Sam Kean. Anyone read it? Suitable for a 15 yr old? thought I might add it to his Chemistry reads for a fun read.
Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
My son says it's very "readable" and fine for a teen. great. The author will be at Iowa City's Book Festival in July and thought it would be fun to read this and talk with the author as well as use it for Chemistry. kalanamak
I found nothing questionable, but it was a bit too fluffy (a bit rambling and over-wordy for the nuggets you got.)
songsparrow
My daughter and I enjoyed it a lot. I would read relevant passages out loud to her while she was filling in her periodic table (she was 10).
dangermom
I enjoyed it, but it seemed to go on forever. I have to say that I liked Uncle Tungsten and Primo Levi's Elements better.

AFwife Claire
My 15 year old and I just finished it. I don't remember anything really questionable about it, and we are quite conservative. We both enjoyed it! It was a bit wordy, but I thought it was very interesting and readable. I'm planning on having the boys in my co-op class read it next summer before we do chemistry, since our library has that book and not the others mentioned by a previous poster (which I have looked for before).
