Runningmom80
because every time I decide on something, he throws me a curve ball by skipping ahead, and I have to re evaluate. :banghead: I know, boo hoo hoo. :nopity:
theYoungerMrsWarde
I suppose that's better than spending the money on it and then only using a tiny part of it before he skips ahead (making it un-returnable.) Think of all the money you're not wasting! :001_smile:
nova147
:grouphug: I know the feeling! It has gotten a LITTLE better for us as DS has gotten older. I don't think he's slowing down, but I'm getting better at finding materials that are a good fit. Have fun making a new plan! :D
Kathy G
Haha- I totally understand! Fortunately I have three so I sometimes think the others will use it. However, they each have their own preferences! :001_huh:
boscopup
It got better for us at age 7, and should be even better at 8. Of course, YMMV. ;) We had the largest jumps in the 5-6 age range mostly because he figured out all the early elementary stuff and needed the meat that's in the 4th grade range to slow him down some. Math Mammoth, while not the most fun curriculum in the world, was our friend for math, since it was so easy and cheap to accelerate through (bought the package for $65 and got my money's worth). We also just skipped reading curriculum. And history... I just had to hide books from him so he couldn't read ahead.

We're even considering getting LOTR Legos.

I actually switched to MM for that very reason. :)

Hmmm. :tongue_smilie: It's working for getting her weak area up to speed quickly so we can hopefully start BA in the fall!
Crimson Wife
It *DOES* get easier as they get older. Once you start getting into the late elementary/middle school level materials there is more "meat" to most programs.
