greenleafknitter
I'm looking for books to read to DD (who's almost 4) around the 4th of July. I'd love ones about the Revolutionary War, the history of the flag, life in the colonial era, biographies of key players during this time period, etc, preferably in "story" format rather than a dry "textbook" format. She's not ready for chapter books just yet, but anything with lots of well done pictures would be great! Thanks!
KristenR
I don't know many off the top of my head, but here is a list that came up on Amazon.

ScoutTN
The Star Spangled Banner by Peter Spier This is about the war of 1812, specifically the battle at Ft. McHenry and the writing of the national anthem, but it is a great all-purpose patriotic themed picture book.
