bettyandbob
My 14yo dd was confirmed today. She is an amazing, compassionate girl. I am so enjoying watching her become a young woman. Due to some circumstances dd was not able to go through confirmation at our church. She did her confirmation studies at our church, but was not able to be present the day the bishop visited. So, our church contacted some other churches local to us in the diocese and we went to another church today, during their visit from the bishop. Her confirmation leaders from our church came too. This other church was very welcoming and it was a joyful event. Now, here's the funny: We pull into the church parking lot for the first time and we see reserve spaces. They have signs like "Mary Smith, Preschool Director" and " Kevin Jones, Music Director". So, there's a space it says "Rev. R. Lord, Rector". So, my dd was confirmed in the presence of R. Lord, literally. With a name like that you'd think he'd be doing the confirmation not letting the bishop do it.

Catwoman
With a name like R. Lord, I guess he had no choice but to go into the "family business." :D
