Mandatory reporting, threatened suicide. . .

You can call 911. They will send an officer to do a welfare check to determine the situation. Ask for the officer to call you. They can pick the juvenile up to take them to the local E.R. for a 72 hour hold (at least, that's how it works in my state) for commitment to a psychiatric facility.

Absolutely this! In Michigan, dispatch will send a squad car and an ambulance. Paramedics can transport minors against their will if there is reason to believe they will hurt themselves. For that matter, in many cases, they can also transport adults for this reason but the police officer has to sign off on that.
