meggie
(This is a really shallow vent, so please feel free to ignore) I woke up this morning with my face completely broken out. I look like a 14 year old with an acne problem. It's awful and painful. I don't want to go anywhere or let anyone see me. I just want to cry. I've been dealing with this since middle school. I'm a grown up now, shouldn't it be gone by now :cursing: My face always looks so awful and I'm always so self conscious of it. It's so embarrassing. The only things that help are being pregnant (not gonna happen) and the Mary Kay facewash. Which is only $18/tube :scared: Oh and to make me even more grumpy, on a FB post, someone replied with a "You know (blah blah blah), right?" which drives me crazy. I had to train DH to stop asking questions that way because it always sounds so rude to me. It's like they're assuming if you don't know something, it's because you're stupid. ok  vent over. mothergooseof4
I was right there with you. I am pushing fourty and my break outs were worse than they were when I was a teenager. I had gotten to where I had four or five of those deep cystic bumps at all times. You may not want to hear what I have to say, but I finally found something that has cleared my skin. I went gluten free. I do not have Celiac, but apparently have a gluten intolerance because I had a lot of things clear up within days of going gluten free. Google gluten and adult acne. It is often linked.

Mynyel
I still get break outs too, drives me nuts. I am 36 years old. I should *NOT* be breaking out like when I was 16. That being said it is something particular that breaks you out? Like cycle time? Does it to me every month!

JFSinIL
can't hurt to see a dermatologist - when I took in a teen for awful acne turned out he had inherited rosecea roseacea however you spell it from me. Yup - I have it, too - never realized that is what was on my face ( kid had it worse so he got the treatment. I can't see spending the money on myself ;) )
