Has anyone ever sold their Kindle?

Recommended Posts

You can de-register a Kindle; it's somewhere in the settings. The new Kindle will go to Amazon's server and find the books when you register it.

BUT... I wouldn't recommend getting rid of your old Kindle until you've spent a good chunk of time with the new one. We have both, and I personally consider the Fire's LCD screen (and the interface in general) to be a big step down as far as reading books is concerned. :tongue_smilie:

I'll be the voice of dissent and say I *much* prefer reading on the Kindle Fire vs. my second generation Kindle. And I think the interface on the 2nd gen. was horrible.

My only issue with selling my old Kindle is that they've lowered the prices of the new e-ink/keyboard models so much, it's not worth what I could get for my old one to sell it. I've tried to pass it down to one of my teens but they prefer paper books...now I'm trying to get dh to adopt it!!
