brendag
Did Apple always have a Homeschool store? I'm guessing they are processing a lot of education discounts from homeschoolers to have a separate store. :001_smile: Brenda
OLG
I've purchased on their education site as a homeschooler for many years. There is a Dad who homeschools who works there and got the whole homeschooler thing going - yeah!
Catwoman
Do you have a link for the Homeschool Store? I have always shopped in the Education Store, but if there's something new and special for homeschoolers, I'd like to bookmark it. Thanks! :001_smile:
Samiam
There is not a specific homeschool "store". You can the same Education discount as college students, and educators. Go to the Education Store link on the left side of the Apple.com store page. Click K-12 button. Enter Homeschool Select either one that appears, and start shopping for a Mac. Wala! I followed the above steps, but I'm not seeing the discount. It looks like the iPad 2, for instance, is the same price as in the regular store. Am I missing something? The discounts are on the computers....MAC Pro $2299 in the edu link, $2499 regular shop link type discounts.
Samiam
iPads, iPods, and iPhones are not eligible for the Education discount, nor are third party products ,and most software. It's Macs and Applecare that are mostly discounted, with a few softwares.
KarenNC
Since they are now pushing iTextbooks specifically to get schools and educators to use the iPads, I wonder if they will eventually include iPads? Speaking of iTextbooks, has anyone heard anything about how teachers' editions will work with those? I'm expecting they will be more than $15, but wondered if it would require the teacher to also have an iPad.

Samiam
Come'on now, ya gotta know that Apple does not announce anything until they announce it. ie....no "rumours" or "hints" are ever announced until the day they are released. Any rumors or hints are just that, and coming from third-parties, never Apple.
