MariannNOVA
has to be done? Our house goes back on the market this Thursday. There is a fair amount of stuff to do -- nothing earth shattering and nothing that is unmanageable, but boxes have to be put back in the storage unit (christmas stuff) and general staging has to be done. I had planned to do it today -- but, I really didn't feel up to it. Tomorrow? Perhaps -- it's a possibility. But, I know as sure as I am sitting here, that I will probably wake up Wednesday and shift into hyper-gear and get it done at breakneck speed in one day......exhausting myself in the process......but getting the job done and done well. Why am I unable to do a little today, a little tomorrow and do the finishing touches on Wednesday? Why? Just curious. ETA: Agent just emailed me -- house goes on market 1/19 rather than 1/12 -- that gives me a whole other week. YAY - I think?:glare: Edited January 9, 2012 by MariannNOVA ETA: Agent just emailed me -- house goes on market 1/19 rather than 1/12 -- that gives me a whole other week. I HATE when that happens.
danybug
Funny, my parents pulled their house off for the holidays and are putting it back on the market Friday. Praying that you both will have great results! Hoping the market really is improving some on the East coast! BTW, still planning on coming to CO? I remembered that the other day and wondered. My mom also asked me the other day if you were on Facebook. It was so random of her to think of it. Anyway, hope you guys had a blessed holiday! My mom also asked me the other day if you were on Facebook. It was so random of her to think of it. Anyway, hope you guys had a blessed holiday! Dh was on a whirlwind tour of Colorado Springs, New Mexico, San Antonio, Dallas, and Los Angeles a few weeks ago. I passed on the trip since it was such a hectic schedule -- -- it was all those cities (cannot remember where in NM) in 5 days. Just learned from the agent that we go on the market 1/19 -- need to wait a week b/c our former agent didn't take us off when we asked him to -- he waited a week - and we want to get our days on market to zero. Things do seem to be picking up here -- it was the same way January 2011 -- right after the new yeear, things went on and off the market in a flash. Then it slowed March and the rest of the year. So we are hoping to be part of that January rush. I hope it works for your parents as well. Yes, I am on FB - using my maiden name -- I will PM it to you -- I would love to be your mom's friend.:)

PrincessMommy
I'm right there with you. I need deadlines, otherwise NOTHING would get done. We moved out of our house last Monday and need to get our house ready to put on the market. Here it is another week and we're still loading things up to get out of the house. Fortunately, now it is only stuff going to the dump. But, the thing is -- I'm pooped! I'm SO tired. I'm on my feet EVERYDAY going to the old house, cleaning up sorting and throwing out. Then I come home and try to find a place for the boxes of stuff we have here. I totally get why you wanted a break.
theYoungerMrsWarde
I do the EXACT same thing. And I'm not addicted to the adrenaline rush. It's miserable for me. And it drives my husband :willy_nilly:

I totally get why you wanted a break. My dear, I feel for you. My intentions are good, but the energy thing is huge -- I always end up with one or two things left n my list -- I cannot ever get through the entire thing -- and it is always an energy crises. I do the EXACT same thing. And I'm not addicted to the adrenaline rush. It's miserable for me. And it drives my husband :willy_nilly: So, then it is not necessrily the adrenaline rush......that's interesting too -- b/c the last time I 'did' this, trust me, there wasn't any adrenaline left in me. I looked like a sweaty, exhausted wreck. I know I am headed for the same thing again, but I cannot help it -- I can do it in one day AND I know I MUST do it in one day - maybe I focus better when the minutes are ticking. ETA: Agent just emailed me -- house goes on market 1/19 rather than 1/12 -- that gives me a whole other week.
