Hair loss/thinning

Recommended Posts

He might be happy to know it can be obtained over the counter now, no prescription needed. :)

(If he's like my DH, who avoids doctors at all costs, going to the doctor to ask for a prescription might be more traumatic than the hair loss itself.)

First thing your dh should do is go see a doctor and have some blood tests done to check thyroid and red blood cell count, etc. Then he might want to see a dermatologist to check the scalp for other causes which may be causing hair loss. My dh was loosing some hair and after 2 months on Rogaine the hair loss stopped. He then weaned himself off the Rogaine and has been fine -hair wise- ever since.
