asmall
I just finished reading Marva Collins' Way. This book brought me to tears. It was not a homeschool book, but about this teacher Marva Collins who attitude about learning lit a fire for learning in the kids she taught. I picked it up because I was it mentioned here by someone. I found that her ideas and attitude is just what I need to add to our homeschool. I recommend this book, especially if you have a struggling learner or a child who is behind. This has really changed my view on teaching children. ElizabethB
Yes, it's great! I especially enjoyed the details about how she wove phonics and vocabulary and diacritical markings into almost everything--everything she did was accomplishing as many purposes as possible. I have interests in both phonics and efficiency, so I was doubly impressed by this!!
