Can I make a bolognese/bechamel lasagne a day ahead?

I did it. I made two pans. Thanks for the reassurance! ;)

 

As far as a recipe, hmmm...

 

I kinda start with The Pioneer Woman's (Pastor Ryan actually) recipe for Bolognese sauce, except I use ground turkey and some sweet Italian turkey sausage. I also add a sprinkling of sugar, a clove and 2 bay leaves. This time I left the milk out. I cook this for two hours.

 

Meanwhile, I made the Bechamel sauce. I basically use this recipe, except I half the salt and the nutmeg.

 

If I were really good, I would make the pasta from scratch, but I got some from a local Italian Market. I assemble it, adding good parmesan reggiano on top of each bechamel layer.

 

Voila. My version of lasagne. There are many ways to make bolognese. Do what sounds good for you!
