BamaTanya
The wording is misleading. As if education and homeschooling were opposites. It's frustrating when people use words that way.
SnowWhite
That quote makes me wonder about his definition of "well-educated." Many people believe homeschoolers can't possibly be well-educated because they haven't been subjected to 13 or more years of public school propaganda and "socialization." CookieMonster
Looking over his website, it seems plain to me that any discourse on my part will fall on deaf ears. The man already has his mind made up that more government programs and fixes to current ones are what it takes to get the job done.
CookieMonster
It was short and to the point. I got to thinking that perhaps a slight increase in his email - all from upset homeschoolers taking issue with his mis-statement, might do some good in the long run. Also, the link in the original post leads to nowhere. I went to the website and used the "contact us" email link.

Mamasteff
I also notice that the article got wrong the educational policy of California - does anyone on this board "notify the state of their intention to homeschool"?? No??? Because there is no way to do that. I'm trying to ignore all the clueless, thoughtless, incorrect information out there. Just like I did in public school (oooh, sorry).
