That book was influential for me as well, particularly when I had a child who was not in a rush to learn to read. It helped me relax and let her set her own pace. I needed to see that there were lots of different ways to home school and get a snapshot of how many different ways worked in reality. It helped me find my philosophy, and feel okay with my choices.
