Book series reccomendations?

Recommended Posts

The Betsy-Tacy series is our all-time favorite. There are probably 8-10 books, revolving around the life of a little girl growing up in about the 1920's. The reading level and maturity level of the books increase as the age of the characters increase, so your daughter would probably only be old enough to read the first 4 or so, for now. The author is Maud Hart Lovelace.

My dd will be 9 next month and I would like to get her some new books. She is currently at a 3rd-4th grade reading level. Can anyone suggest a book series or two that she might enjoy? She likes anything girly, or to do with horses.

Thanks!

James Harriots books

All Creatures Great and Small

All Things Bright and Beautiful

All Things Wise and Wonderful

The Lord God Made them All

he also has some other animal stories.
