ChristusG
Ewww. I just don't like the black cookie part. Funny thing is....I like cookies N cream ice cream, which uses oreo like cookies. But that's the only way I like them.
AK_Mom4
Nope. I MUCH prefer Nilla Wafer crusts for cheese cake. I find the rich chocolate flavor of the Oreo crust competes too much with the rich creaminess of the cheescake. Nilla wafers give the same texture without the competing flavors. Now THIS sounds like a controversial topic!
catz
What about oreo crusts? It makes cheesecake sooo much better. Nope - sorry. Oreos just taste way too processed for me. I don't like them in any way, shape, or form! :tongue_smilie: Edited to add, I'm all about graham cracker crust. :) And we buy the expensive, organic, less junk graham crackers too. I can't stand crackers, cookies etc with hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, etc. They all taste the same to me now. My kids like them when they can get their hands on them though!
