Samiam
Nope, iPad, iPad2, iPods, and iPhone are not eligible for the Education discount. You can get a discount on a new Mac, Applecare for Macs, and some software.
Renthead Mommy
Nope, iPad, iPad2, iPods, and iPhone are not eligible for the Education discount. You can get a discount on a new Mac, Applecare for Macs, and some software. Do you need to show them anything? Just tell them you're a homeschooler? Bring a kid with you? We are getting my stb 9yo a Mac for his birthday. The husband may take him out next Friday (GUY Weekend while I'm in Valley Forge) and pick it up then even thought it's two weeks early. Do I need to print out some sort of homeschool 'membership' card or something for him to take with him?

JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
The best way to find out is to get on the Apple store website, go to the Education store and log in as a homeschooler (when asked use K-12 and then for school name homeschool and then choose either homeschool CA or homeschool). This will take you to the education section and you will see any discounted prices reflected. Sometimes it helps to have two windows open (one to the regular store) so you can compare the discount. JumpedIntoTheDeepEndFirst
For what it is worth-as a back to school special Best Buy is rumored to be offering a $100 Best Buy gift card with Apple purchase. I hear you need to ask for it as they aren't advertising it much. I don't know which Apple products qualify for this incentive.
