Chelle in MO
The sirens started a few minutes ago. Our older 2 had just gone to bed. We woke up the 2 youngers and all headed for the basement. Better safe than sorry! Good thing the kids and I can sleep in tomorrow!
Ibbygirl
Oh my! Stay safe. Hopefully it is just a warning and no damage will be had. How scary!
Teachin'Mine
Praying for you and all in the area. :grouphug:
Chelle in MO
Thanks, you guys! I can hear the thunder and hail rocking out there! Glad dh made room in the garage for his car a few months ago. We heard that there hasn't been a twister spotted (yea!), but that conditions are favorable. Starr
Oh my! I hope the storm passes quickly and you can get to bed! No to twisters!
Chelle in MO
Thanks, Starr. The heaviest looks like it's past us for now, but there's more coming. And who knows how that will develop by the time it gets here. We can pray for it to weaken!
Melissa in St Louis
Ugh, this was terrifying last night! :tongue_smilie:I carried the sleeping kiddos to the basement and they slept on the floor while the dog and I cuddled together and watched our twitter feed for live updates. We waited it out, and I carried everyone back up stairs -- no one EVER WOKE UP through the whole thing!!! A miracle all the way around! :D

Chelle in MO
Thanks, Ibby and Regena. I was watching the news tonight, and the wind damage was fairly serious south of me. I don't think there were any deaths or even significant injuries, which is wonderful!

I made my 11yo wake up and walk downstairs herself -- I didn't think I could carry her. I nearly couldn't get her to wake up! We had to get up this morning, then, for our co op classes. When we got to co op, though, the building had no power, so we turned around and headed back home. Ack! I wish we could've stayed in bed! We'll be getting to bed early tonight, that's for sure. He was having a hard time waking up and figuring out what was going on! I heard there were a lot of people w/out power in West County. When we went to Ellisville today there were Ameren people working on the lines, but I didn't notice any major damage. I also heard that St. Albans was hit pretty hard.
