vlgimmelli
Hello, I have just finished using Rod and Staff reading comprehension workbook which was great. My son is very weak in reading comprehension. Wanted to know if anyone has any ideas or place where I can purchase a reading comprehension workbook to continue reviewing reading comprehension throughout the school year? thanks Lillian
cylau
We are using Reading Detective from Critical Thinking Company. I think it's a great resource for reading comprehension.
vlgimmelli
I have been using reading detective but I was also looking for a workbook. I am trying to overload him with reading comprehension as much as possible to catch him up to where he should be at this age(11-1/2 years old). Thanks Lillian
kathkath
this is not a workbook but try reading stephanie harvey's "strategies that work."
DragonFaerie
There is a whole series of these workbooks that I am going to use with both kids next year. I like that while they are reading comprehension, they cover material for other subjects. There is geography, social studies and science that I have found so far. I am using this right now. It's the same idea but covers several subjects in one book.
Mom0012
I'm using Reading Comprehension in Varied Subject Matter http://eps.schoolspecialty.com/products/details.cfm?series=600m . They are workbooks and I have been very happy with them. Lisa
vlgimmelli
Content Reading workbooks look really good, I do not need the answer book, so I may look into it and purchase one to keep at it. Also the school specialty books look good too, I may also purchase one of those and really drill him with comprehension. Thank you.
DragonFaerie
I think the answers are actually included at the back of the Content Reading workbooks.
DragonFaerie
Whoops! Sorry! I just saw that the books don't include the answer key.
vlgimmelli
No big deal I don't need the answer key we can do it together. Thanks
Closeacademy
I Really like the McCall-Crabbs and McCall-Harby Test Lessons in Reading books. There are like 7 books with tons of tests in each one. You can buy the bindup online or track down the individual books and answer keys.:001_smile:
