Our pastor will be making a missionary journey to India in a couple of months, and I'd really like to do a unit study on India with my daughters soon so they can be familiar with the culture and what life is like for children there. (Food, Dress, Customs, etc.) Does anyone have any good book suggestions, as well as other things like crafts and activities for learning about India for the Prek-1st grade age group? Thanks!

Here's the list of books I pulled from last year (for K) when we studied India. Most are picture books, though I think I've noted the ones that aren't. My apologies in advance for the wacky format. :001_huh: ETA: I think Christina and I are working from a similar list! Hopefully there are a few here that she didn't mention, though it's unlikely! :)

Cooking the Indian Way by Madavan, Vijay

Sacred River by Lewin, Ted
