dm379
Constructive criticism please! Am I missing something? He is SN and needs to keep things simple. 8 yr. old 3rd grade ds Grammar: easy grammar, daily grams. History: continue with SOTW Science: as outlined in WTM but 2nd grade. I'm a bit nervous about this so if anybody has any secular ideas for Earth science, let me know! I already bought everything though so it is unlikely I'll change my mind Latin: Latin for Children while probably still working on LNST since we have it Spelling: AAS Spanish/Art/PE: at co-op Writing: ??? WWE was a fail as was Writing Strands. Does not need handwriting. Math: continue with Horizons/Singapore Fiddle and fencing lessons and tkd and whatever else he wants to do. Halcyon
Looks good to me. Have you looked at the Kilgallon texts for writing? we use them in conjunction with WWE (granted, only on week 2) but they're fun. ES has an earth science unit, I think, and there's a fair amount of writing, so you may be able to combine the two? Are you going to do Geography? We are using Elemental Earth Science, supplemented with Science in a Nutshell Kits. krista
2_girls_mommy
WTM 2nd grade science is fun and easy. We had a great year, armed w/the 2 Usborne 1st illustrated encyclopedias and a library card. We notebooked, read, did experiments, went to a gem and mineral show, made compost, went to the planetarium, made space art and a model of the solar system, etc. So much fun! I hated moving into chemistry this year because we so enjoyed last year!
