ereks mom
I don't know a lot about how to work it, although I've played with it until I figured out some things, and I've googled a lot too! I haven't downloaded any books on it yet; I've only read the books my friend already had on it. The recent questions about 3G vs wifi made me wonder: how can I figure out if my Kindle has 3G or wifi? I need to figure this out so I can start downloading books!
OregonNative
I've never heard of a Kindle 2:confused: Here are the 3 I know are available: Kindle (Wi-Fi, 6") Kindle 3G (Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6") Kindle DX (Free 3G, 9.7", Graphite) The 1st one is $139 and the 2nd is $189. If you know what she paid for it, then you'll know what it has.
Amira
The old Kindles have free 3G, so you can start downloading anytime you like. Here's a link to all sorts of info about using your new-to-you K2.
Word Nerd
You can probably get a K2 manual on the Kindle store if the one yours came with is no longer on the Kindle. Have fun! I've had mine for a week and love it!
Forget-Me-Not
Yes, they don't come with a paper manual. They come with the manual ON it. Here's a link that should help you: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_top_kindle6l?nodeId=200375430
