Paz
My dd is a senior and took her CPT test today so that she can take dual enrollment classes at our local community college. She scored a 99 percent in reading comprehension and a 93 percent in sentence skills. The amazing part of this is that she is dyslexic and could not read multisyllable words until she was 11 or 12. We were able to find an amazing tutor who worked with her for about a year and half to get her reading at grade level. She also worked with the tutor to prepare for the test and will continue with some math instruction with her. I also credit TWTM curriculum. We didn't do it exactly as prescribed (I know most of us do not) nor did we put in as much time as we probably should have. Both my ds and my dd are skilled at communicating both orally and in writing and I believe The Great Books program really helped them to achieve this.
