kat19
Help me out here. I have never cooked a turkey breast in the crockpot. Any pointers/recipes? Thanks
Jen in PA
:lurk5: DH just announced yesterday that the he doesn't even care whether we have turkey at all on Thanksgiving, but I feel like I want at least a little bit. A crockpot recipe for a small turkey breast would be a great solution!
Mom2J112903
My sister is at her Uncle-in-Law's memorial service right now, but I will message her and get her insights on it. She has done a small turkey breast like this for the past three years.
2cents
I've done several. I just put the breast in and sprinkle some poultry seasoning on the top. I don't add any liquid. I use a thermometer to let me know when it is done. I use the boneless turkey that looks like a roll (not sure what they call it exactly but it is in with the big turkeys). Turns out yummy! LauraGB
Timely! I got one free at the grocery store today and have no idea what to do with it. I was thinking of tossing it in the crock to make that shredded turkey/gravy sort of thing.
Luckymama
I just put the whole turkey breast (bone-in) in the crockpot. I might sprinkle it with pepper or something to make me feel better, like I was really cooking , but usually I just leave it as it is. There will be plenty of liquid in the crockpot, don't worry!
djsmom
I just put it in the crockpot with salt, pepper, and a little water (because we like LOTS of gravy) and cook it most of the day. They are delicious cooked in the cp. This is exactly how I do it.

KatieJ
I put mine in at night before I got to bed..froze solid. It is done by morning and you will have wonderful juice to make gravy with. Because I cook it frozen, I don't add seasoning, however, i am sure a bed of onions and celery, possibly even some citrus underneath it wiht some spices would only enhance the flavor.
