simka2
So the twins got in a tussel and knocked one of their molar's out. It's a baby tooth, but do I need to do anything?
TheCoffeeChick
If you have the tooth and it is whole, shove it back in the hole, bite down on a wet tea bag on top of it, and take him to the dentist. He may be able to save it.
CoastalGal
How old is the brother with the missing tooth? If he's close enough to losing it naturally, I might be tempted to leave it "as is". Depending on how long it's going to be before that adult tooth comes in, you may need to have a spacer put in -- just to reserve space for the adult tooth. RanchGirl
I would call the dentist to ask about the spacer issue and they may also want to make sure it's all out, that there are no remaining fragments left in there to cause infection. simka2
Dentist is closed ;( This is the twin that had jaw surgery and it's on the same side. I think I will just have to leave it, and watch it. They were in the dentist Thur, Uggggghhhh! He probly wouldn't have lost it for a year or 2, but he already had a ton of ortho work, so I think I can wait till mon. I will just have to watch for infection. :glare: Thanks all! TheCoffeeChick
What a bummer! :( They must have been really going at it!
Nakia
I think it will be fine to wait until Monday if there isn't an on-call dentist you can talk to today. The only thing is that the dentist might need to pull the same tooth on the opposite side of his mouth. The only reason I know that is because my 7 year old just lost her bottom right canine, and the one of the left is still firmly in place. Our dentist told us this week that if it doesn't come out soon, he will have to pull it so that her teeth don't shift. :grouphug: I hate hate hate tooth stuff. I feel for you!
