Chris in VA
Dd only visits 3 websites-- PBS.org to watch Design Squad and Fetch, American Girl, and freerice.com I am thinking of letting her play some on Always Icecream. They have a free trial for a month--anyone's girl enjoy it?
Gwenhwyfar
i've never heard of it.. but are you talking about your ten year old? (sig) she might like Club Penguin - you can have a penguin & play without the membership, although it is quite a bit more fun if you do (being a member allows you to furnish your igloo, buy clothes, and whatever else - i forget.) .... dd13 still has her membership there and plays sometimes.:) i forget the other one that she used to play on and she's not here right now...it was something to do with dolls... eta: i remember now - it was Stardoll Edited September 25, 2010 by Gwenhwyfar
6packofun
Mmm, nah. Not our style. My dds like Club Penguin and Pixie Hollow, though!
Chris in VA
Yeah, I hear you about style--I'm not sure what it's like. Didn't particularly like the way they dressed the introductory avatar. We don't do any virtual games here at all, except some Wii athletic stuff and the American Girl historical games (oh, and the BBC Horrible Histories--they were GREAT). I don't really want my child decorating or buying stuff virtually--but the educational games seemed kinda fun-- Well, maybe not.
Starr
I had forgotten about Pixie Hollow; all the fun fairies!
6packofun
Our kids actually hang out on the kids' forums at NaNoWriMo and a few other forums related to their hobbies and interests. I prefer those than the play-character type sites anyhow!
NanceXToo
Never heard of it. My 9 y/o likes pixie hollow, wizard101, multiplication.com, freerice.com, and Webkinz.
MariannNOVA
We do Club Penguin and Webkinz. DD11 received a few emails from private school friends about some style and that kind of thing websites but she truly wasn't interested. PS -- I was on Pohick again yesterday.
