Dr won't return my call....ugh.

My dr sent me for extensive bloodwork over 2 weeks ago. I've waited...and waited...and finally called to find out my results. Every time I call the machine says that the office is closed. Then it lists the office hours which actually means that the office should be open. I have left 2 messages over 2 days and have not rec'd a call back. I also left a message requesting antibiotic for my dentist appt next week(I have a heart murmur)....and nothing, no call back. I'm really irked.

 

What would you do?

The office maybe on vacation. Does he have an answering service for emergencies...you could try that. Sorry!:grouphug:

I'd just visit them in person if the phone is not working.

I would wonder if they are on vacation (in which case they should have put that on their outgoing answering machine message). Can you "stop by the office" to see?

I'd go by the office and see if it is open? If the office isn't open you can try to call your local hospital and see who is covering for your doctor.

The heat must be getting to me. I never thought of just going to the office:tongue_smilie: Such a pain, but I guess it's my only option.

Go by the office or call after hours and see if the answering service knows what is going on.
