lincap
 So DH has a deacon meeting tonight at 4pm and he asked me to pick up some shrimp cocktail for it. So I just dragged the kids to Shaws and got the premade serving plate with shrimp and cocktail sauce. WELL I get home and realize it is FROZEN! The directions say thaw overnight in fridge or for about 11 hrs.. UGH! It is 11:15am here now! So how would you thaw the shrimp??? Leave it on the counter? rinse with warm water?? put in fridge and hope is thaws in time :001_huh: What should I do?

Mabeline
Shrimp thaw out really quickly. I would put them in cool water and change it out every 20-30 mins. Then put them in the fridge as soon as they are thawed. HTH
Mejane
You can put it in a colander and run it under cold water. I've also left it on the counter to thaw. We haven't died yet. :001_smile:

Pippen
You don't even need to do it now. Just before serving is fine.
