Looking for Canadian historical fiction

I'm putting my book list together for Early Modern Times and need some help finding Canadian historical fiction titles for my logic stage dd as well as for my early grammar stage boys. I'm looking for novels and for picture books.

Any specific suggestions or links to book lists would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sarah

Here are some links I've found helpful in studying and supplementing in Canadian History.

World As We Knew It - IMO, this is really THE authority on children's Canadian Lit. The list is quite extensive and categorized by periods as well as topics. Each title has a suggested age range, too.

meghan's world - a mom's reading list organized into "units."

It's in the Dear Canada series, similar to the Dear America series and it's all Canadian history.

Her book Prisoners in the Promised Land: The Ukranian Internment Diary of Anna Soloniuk.

Marsha Skrypuch is an acclaimed Canadian author for young folks, and she was awarded the Order of Princess Olha, class III by Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, for this book.

You might also check the other books in this series.

Oops, I should have read more closely, you asked for early modern. Marsha's book isn't, but I'm sure there are more in the series that are.
