RENEEinVA
We actually started out with Videotext for Algebra I but then dropped it for Jacob's midway through the year. At the time, I felt there weren't enough problems in Videotext for my dd to actually achieve mastery, and she wasn't overly thrilled with the instructors on the DVDs. This year, she used Chalkdust Geometry and did really well. She prefers Dana Mosely's teaching style and found the program to be fairly easy to understand.:)

Wildiris
I've used Chalk Dust pre algebra and algebra 1 (1/2 way through). I think Chalk Dust is challenging, but I am also using algebra 1 with a 7th grader. She likes the program. Where you wanting to know something specific? blessed2fosteradopt
I can't speak about Videotext as I am unfamiliar with it but my son (who previously used only Saxon) is thriving with CD. We love Dr. Mosely's teaching style - very thorough. My son has gone from low B's and C's to consistent A's with CD. Best of luck with your decision! Susie in CA
You may want to post on the highschool board. I think there are people who have used both programs. Susie
christine in al
And I did also post on the highschool board, and Susie, you are right, I did find folks who have used both. yay. What I was trying to decide is which we are most likely to continue. I'm wanting to decide this far in advance so I can look for a sale. There seems to be a long0term preference for CD. Thanks to all. ~Christine
