Looking For Validation From Preschoolers

Word of advice: Just don't. Seriously.

I was feeling a bit out of sorts, so I announced to Tazzie that Mommy had quit smoking this weekend! Isn't that great? Isn't it wonderful? Aren't you proud of Mommy?

He looked at me and said, (I quote), "Meh" and wandered off.

*sigh*

Princess, overhearing this exchange, at least came and stuck her hand out at me for a high five. She then wandered off too.

I need a better cheering section. Maybe if I bribed them with cookies?

 I hear you. DD4 told me last night that my (new, cheerful, for-once-not-plain-white-or-beige) underwear "are really big!" :glare: Stinkin' kid...

And I agree, congratulations on quitting! It's a very big deal, you should be proud :grouphug:

i highly recommend exchanging something there when you want a cigarette and not food lol. i substituted in exercise (pre-kiddo). I quit smoking in 2005, and replaced the urge with working out. i loved seeing and feeling my breathing get better and i was able to not feel my lungs burning.

however i highly recommend finding a healthy replacement...you can do it and congratulations on quitting!

eta: i quit 5 years ago in march :)
