Jean in Newcastle
In light of the latest 'little disease vector' thread, should I send my 12 yo and 8 yo to church tomorrow? 12 year old had bad cold that started last Saturday (week from today). He now has a residual cough only. 8 year old never got the cold itself - she just moved to the cough. She's had the cough for 4 days - it is only occasional. No fevers, no running noses. happi duck
If I saw your kids at church I would NOT think "Those kids should be home!" If they were toddlers who weren't yet able to wash hands and cough into the elbow, then I'd think twice.
TravelingChris
I would give them cough medicine and go. For the second one, are you sure she is sick? Mine were coughing a little while ago and the juniper pollen count was very high. Since one is allergic to juniper and never got all the symptoms of the other, I figured she was having allergy problems.
ChristusG
I'd send them. Just remind them to wash their hands and/or cough into their elbow.

Jean in Newcastle
Thanks everyone. It became a moot point - dh is really sick this morning and can't even talk and I'm having a hard time with my chronic health problems. Since the two drivers can't drive them, I guess the kids won't go!
