Let's talk about flooring...

Recommended Posts

We are going to close in our back porch, and turn it into a mudroom. Dh and I are trying to decide on what type of floor to put down. We have eliminated any type of natural stone, or anything porous, as this is where the litter boxes are going to be moved to and, well, porous + cat misses = just don't mix. So, are we stuck w/ linoleum as our only choice?

Thoughts, opinions, WWYD?

We re-furbished our back porch/mudroom and installed 6 inch wide pine boards that we subsequently painted with oil-based porch paint. It's super easy to keep clean and is wearing very well. I don't know how old your house is but the pine boards fit our old house very well. (And they were relatively inexpensive!)

Good luck!
