Unicorn.
We are going to close in our back porch, and turn it into a mudroom. Dh and I are trying to decide on what type of floor to put down. We have eliminated any type of natural stone, or anything porous, as this is where the litter boxes are going to be moved to and, well, porous + cat misses = just don't mix. So, are we stuck w/ linoleum as our only choice? Thoughts, opinions, WWYD?
Ferdie
We have porcelain tile and love it. You can take a class at Home Depot and they will teach you how to install yourself. Just pick a tile that will go with grey color grout because most grout turns grey over time.
Lynn in WI
We re-furbished our back porch/mudroom and installed 6 inch wide pine boards that we subsequently painted with oil-based porch paint. It's super easy to keep clean and is wearing very well. I don't know how old your house is but the pine boards fit our old house very well. (And they were relatively inexpensive!) Good luck! Harriet Vane
I'd go with tile.
The Governess
Tile. They have some nice porcelain tiles now that look like stone but aren't. I would choose one that you can lay 1/8 inch apart so there is very little grout, and choose a medium natural color for both the tile and the grout so you don't have to worry about it getting stained. WishboneDawn
Tile sounds perfect for what you need. Porcelain is probably the best bet as they're better then ceramic for a high traffic area.
newbie
stained concrete??
gaillardia
Stained concrete or ceramic tile. Even though you said you don't want tile...it is in most bathrooms because it is easy to clean.
