Pamela H in Texas
Faithe, We used the community college after PreCalc (not TT) at home. DD did PreCalc again, but it was totally not necessary. It was just her first experience (and she was young) so we didn't want to push it. Anyway, she did PreCalc through Calc II and Stats that year at CC. I definitely would want a student to get credit for Calc and Stats so CC or Univ or something like Stanford's EPGY would be my preference. Storm Bay
No cracks at TT. What we do as a matter of course, regardless of which math we use, is try it with something else to be sure our dc really understand it and not only one way. Or you could try Life of Fred Calculus if you'd like to do something at home.
Kareni
My teen did Precalculus at the local community college and then moved on to AP Statistics through PA Homeschoolers. The latter class I highly recommend. Regards, Kareni
creekland
My senior went into Chalkdust's Calculus here at home.
SusanAR
Hmm, how about MUS calculus or LOF statistics or PA homeschoolers AP stats?
Mommyfaithe
I was actually thinking of having him continue w/ LoF because I have used them as a review book in between Alg. 1, Geometry and Alg 2. I just may also have him do a CC class for 12th grade. Thanks for the input. ~~Faithe
