ProudGrandma
My head cold has killed all of my brain cells....I made another blunder...I put thawed stew meat in my crock pot about 3 hours ago and I just now discovered I forgot to turn it on....did I just ruin my meat?? Should I continue to cook it or trash it??

Jen in PA
Unless your kitchen is really warm (over 80 degrees), I would use it and not worry.
Julie in CA
Totally support your using it--I would certainly use it!:001_smile:
Chris in VA
My employer is a nurse--she goes by the 4 hour rule for milk left out--anything more and it's a no go-- But I might still use it at 5 hours. And it's not milk. :001_smile:
