Do you plan to see Alice in Wonderland?

Recommended Posts

I don't think so. Our children belong to a community theater group who is doing Alice in Wonderland in May. It's going to be such a fantastic production and I don't want a Disney movie to taint my view of how they characters in the play should be. The play we are doing is true Lewis Carroll adapted from the books.

We don't see many movies in the theater. I only occasionally go with my sister, and I don't think she'll choose Alice over Eclipse for our spring/summer movie. ;)

But, we do love Burton/Depp movies, so we will definitely see this when it becomes available on Netflix.

We saw it last weekend. If you're interested in seeing it, I HIGHLY recommend you splurge and go see it in 3D. That was one of the things about it that made it fun. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but I enjoyed it. I think it would lose a lot of its appeal if it weren't in 3D.

I might see it once it's past the theatre stage. It looks dark, but then the books were dark...disney just has a way of trying to lighten things up. For dark edged stories, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are a good mix. However, I prefer Johnny Depp as a pirate (Pirates of the Carribean) or an eccentric boyfriend (Benny and Joon) ;)
