joannqn
Give her magnesium. The side effect of too much magnesium is that it makes you go. We used it on DD9 when she was an infant per our pediatrician.

ProudGrandma
Pineapple juice I have never heard this one...can it be from a can? I don't know if I have such a creature in my pantry...I will go and look.
Amy in NH
can it be from a can? Yep. But it would probably have to be a bit more than you'd get out of a can of pineapple.
JFSinIL
ask the local pharmacist for a glycerin suppository. Gross, but it does what needs to be done.
elizabeth
http://pediatrics.about.com/od/weeklyquestion/a/04_laxatives.htm Great advice the colace syrup will soften her stool so she is not miserable. Poor baby. We now eat a pear a day and no more difficulties...
ProudGrandma
on second thought...she just threw up the teeny tiny amount of what she had in her tummy...but I still wonder if she is constipated and she just worked herself up too much...is that possible?? plain jane
on second thought...she just threw up the teeny tiny amount of what she had in her tummy...but I still wonder if she is constipated and she just worked herself up too much...is that possible?? It's possible, but it does sound more like a stomach virus of sorts. I'm sorry she's sick right before the holidays. :( I've read here that carob powder and the syrup from canned peaches can help relieve stomach upset and vomiting. Hopefully she feels better soon and nobody else will get sick.
ProudGrandma
on the positive note...now all 3 kids have had the stomach flu this fall...at 3 completely different times...and all I have to do now is hope that my hubby and I don't get it.
