LibrarianMom
Hello! I'm trying to whittle down my Christmas lists for the kids. My biggest problem is that I want everything and individually no one things costs very much (nothing more than $25), so I'm hoping you can give me some real-life reviews of these items. My children are pre-K and 2nd grade. Connectagons? Rocking Moon? Thank you!
LibrarianMom
Bump! Some input would be really helpful.
patchfire
Oh, we love the Moon game here! It appears simple, but it can be challenging.
gratefulmother
The connectagons were at our local art museum when we visited there last week and my 6yods LOVED them! It was a larger set than what I have seen in a store, but I think he will love the smaller ones too. It is definitely on his Christmas list. Tap
We had Connectagons about 7-10 years ago. I think they had a different name then. The kids liked them but not for long. They were a novelty, and they did like them, but once they figured out that you couldn't really make 'usable' toys with them, they were done. It isn't like Lego's that you can build and then play with what you build. They make an abstract sculpture, and then rearrange it, make another...rearrange it. They can make things like a car or what ever they want, but they can't really play with it like a car.
Cera
We have a clown game similar to the moon and the kids love it. We also have connectagons and they were a hit for about a week. Once the novelty wore off they were shoved into a corner of the shelf and now they never get played with.
LibrarianMom
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was needing to know. I think I was leaning toward Connectagons more for myself than the kids anyway. In one of our craft books I saw instructions for making a knock-off out of cardboard. That will probably be more fun on a snow day anyway. :)
chiguirre
We have the moon game and it's a lot of fun and a bit of frustration. It's a good game to play at playdates.
