SonshineLearner
We have Stockmar. I purchased them through a co-op. I actually purchased blocks, the small ones and the large ones... I thinking the small ones are Lycra?? My daughter is now 11 and I've had them since she was 3. Carrie:-)
Blessedfamily
I've never heard of this. Why do you prefer them to regular crayons? Thanks.
abbeyej
We had Stockmar. I was unimpressed. They smelled divine (they had teeth marks on them eventually, lol, and I couldn't blame my then 4yo for tasting 'em), but there really didn't seem to be any other reason to favor them over any other decent crayon. Guest Cindie2dds
We have Stockmar. I've heard Lyra are good, too. I probably won't try them since my Stockmar will last so long. I like the size (diameter) of the crayon. It's not too thin or thick.
LibraryLover
We've bought stockmar for years. They smell so good! I have bought stone natural water colors. I think that are both good suppliers.
SonshineLearner
Beeswax are a whole different tool to color with than plasticy crayons. The give the nicest smooth look when you color. It's like fake chocolate and real:-) I don't know anyone who doesn't like them.... Try them once, and you'll probably be sold!! Mrs Mungo
I used the Stockmar block-style crayons almost exclusively when my kids were little. Of course, they were easy to find when we lived in Germany. I loved Stockmar art supplies.
sleepymommy
We have Stockmar, haven't tried the other brand. We really like the Stockmar crayons though, we have the regular and block ones. They're different from Crayolas, they color much more vivid, beautiful colors. We have the Lyra colored pencils and they are great too.
