SandKsmama
In the situation you described, I think you're probably fine. As your children move on through the levels, they probably will need to use more of the pages, but I'm sure you know that already!
angelmorris
I copy my books.. I have enough kids going through I think that will be cheaper in the long run. It's very easy to pull the binding out and make copies :D
johnandtinagilbert
Did you know you can create worksheets specific to lessons on their website? You could also have them write their answers in a spiral notebook instead of on the paper. Although mine score well, I require them to do 3 pages per lesson, all 85% or higher in order to move on. Just my mileage :)

It's very easy to pull the binding out and make copies :D (Gently) This is a violation of copyright. Just like photocopying a book or copying a CD is illegal, this is not allowed. If you look on the title page of your student book you will see that reproducing is not legal.
Harriet Vane
I buy a student book for each child. I have my kids go back and do unused pages as review and to keep their skills sharp.
swellmomma
Each child gets their own student set. We never have unused pages, we do them all everytime so there would be nothing left for the next one.
razorbackmama
I buy each student their own set. I never know which lessons a child will need to use more pages on, so rather than sweat it, I just buy a new set.
keptwoman
I just buy a new student book for the early books. From part way through Gamma I got C to write in a grid book, I find it helpful with place value and it means I have the books for M, who will also write in a grid book. ChicoryChick
I have 4 children and I would use 1 student book for two students. If they needed extra practice I would print worksheets from the MUS website. :D

I always thought as long as it was within one family it was ok... sorry :( So it's OK if they just don't write in the book to reuse I'm assuming?? (SWB allows it for the SOTW activity guide, for example.) Those that allow it give specific permission on the copyright page. The MUS student book specifically does not allow reproducing, however. Sorry.
angela&4boys
Our situation is such that there are very few lessons with unused extra practice and/or review sheets. When there are, I find it's only in the first several weeks of the program where the concepts are easier. As they progress, they usually end up using the majority if not all of them. Purchasing the student workbook for each dc is essential for us.

Angel, I know of a few mamas that use page protectors and wipe-off markers so they only have to purchase one book. Just a thought. ;)
