Radish4ever
I use them for garlic bread or cinnamon toast.... or freeze 'em and save them to take to the duck pond! :)
dirty ethel rackham
Ok you are killing me with the homemade organic stuff. A person can only covet and envy so much before exploding. How much does it cost to buy grain and the grinder thing and what kind? Help a city who wants to be free range girl out:D Hey I am a suburban girl, through and through. I just hang out with a crunchy crowd and it has rubbed off on me:). The mill can cost anywhere between $180 and $250, depending on the brand. I have a Nutrimill which I got on sale at $200 at the Urban Homemaker a while back. This website has plenty of good information on the how-to's of breadmaking. The organic wheatberries (for yeast breads, you want either hard red wheat or hard white wheat) cost between $1 and $1.50 a pound if you buy it in bulk (like 50 lbs.) Lizzie in Ma
Turn them inside out and make sandwiches with them, they almost never notice.
SquirrellyMama
Turn them inside out and make sandwiches with them, they almost never notice. I do this too when we are terribly short of bread. They don't notice.
tdeveson
I make French Toast casserole for Sunday brunch. Or I throw all my leftover ends in the processor, make breadcrumbs and freeze it.
